This project involved the design and construction of a 50 m² one-bedroom garden guest house, tailored to the client’s specific requirements and completed within a total timeframe of two months. The on-site assembly was carried out efficiently in just four days.
A key feature of the cabin is the use of large double-glazed aluminium sliding doors, which allow for an abundance of natural light while creating a strong visual connection to the surrounding garden. The result is a bright, open living space that feels both practical and comfortable throughout the day.
As with all our custom projects, the process began with the client preparing an initial sketch, outlining the desired layout, dimensions, and preferred positioning of doors and windows. This was done using our guidance for designing bespoke garden rooms. Based on this information, we provided a detailed quotation and project conditions for review.
Following order confirmation, we developed full technical drawings within seven days and shared them with the client to ensure everything aligned precisely with the original concept. After approval, the cabin moved into production, with manufacturing completed over a six-week period.
In parallel, the client arranged for a local contractor to prepare the foundation. A system of precast concrete beams was used, providing a durable and level base suitable for this type of timber structure.
The finished cabin is built with 70 mm solid timber walls and fitted with double-glazed doors and windows. Additional roof and floor insulation were included to support comfortable use throughout the year. The structure also features a robust 28 mm floor and is treated with Remmers HK Lasur wood protection in a light, natural stone pine larch tone, giving it a clean and timeless appearance.
Once delivered, our team completed the full assembly, including installation of insulation materials and finishing works, within four days. The project reflects a well-coordinated process between design, manufacturing, and site preparation, resulting in a practical and well-integrated garden living space.
