We have completed another exciting project for customers living on the Costa del Sol near Estepona. As part of a full villa renovation project and the creation of rental housing in the garden, we built one two-bedroom log cabin and two one-bedroom log cabins.
Our customer chose two models for this project: the two-bedroom, 42 m² log cabin “Ireland” and the 27 m² one-bedroom log cabin “Stefan 2.” Both cabins feature 70mm thick walls to ensure better thermal resistance, strength, and a very long lifespan. These cabin kits come with double-glazed doors and windows, German-made tilt and turn window systems, quality door mechanisms, extra thick 28mm floorboards, 18mm roof boards, pressure-treated foundation beams, interior doors, strengthening metal rods for inserting into walls, and all necessary metal fixings.
To complete the project, our customer also contracted a local construction company to install a septic tank, carry out plumbing and electrical work, build bathrooms, install furniture, and set up air conditioning.
The project was carried out in the following order:
Our assembly team prepared the bases for all three cabins. We built a concrete block foundation, which is a fast and cost-efficient way to create a base for medium-sized log cabins.
The local construction company installed the septic tank and prepared the drainage and water supply systems according to our cabin plans.
We delivered the log cabin kits along with roof and floor insulation kits, roofing materials, and wood preservatives. Within ten days, we assembled all three cabins, installed the roof and floor insulation kits, applied roof shingles, and painted all three cabins inside and out.
After our part of the project was completed, the local building company installed electrical cables, sockets, and lights, built the bathrooms and kitchens, installed air conditioning, and mounted all the furniture.
The entire project, from order to completion, took three months.
