We’re excited to share photos and the story of one of our customers in Madrid, who purchased a garden snooker room cabin three years ago.
“During lockdown, my wife and I decided to invest in one of your summer house snooker rooms. It was advertised as 8m x 5.5m, and we got to work preparing a space at the bottom of our garden. We cleared an area of grass, relocated two garden huts, laid 10 tons of gravel and sand, set up shutters, laid steel reinforcements, and finally ordered a concrete pour.
Fortunately, our neighbor is a builder, and with his help, we achieved a solid foundation. We knew from your website that if the foundation wasn’t adequate, you could refuse to erect the structure—and we weren’t about to let that happen!
After allowing the concrete to cure and removing the shutters, the foundation was ready. We eagerly awaited the arrival of our new snooker room.
The big day arrived, and a massive lorry pulled up. Using an onboard crane, it offloaded two large deliveries into our front driveway. All we needed now was someone to assemble it.
The following day, four very hard-working and impressively fit guys arrived. After checking our sturdy, level foundation, they began assembling the structure. The weather held up, and by the end of day one, they wrapped up around 7 p.m. They returned the next day, and by 5 p.m. on Friday evening, the entire build was complete. Their speed and professionalism were incredible.
Once the building was up, we fitted the electrics, varnished the interior, installed carpet tiles, and painted the entire cabin. We were then ready for the crowning touch—the installation of a full-size snooker table.
We’d found a second-hand table from a club about 20 kilometers away, which we had personally inspected. Two table fitters spent two days delivering, assembling, and leveling the table. The table bed, made of five extremely heavy pieces of Italian slate, was carefully manhandled into place, re-covered with new cloth, and tested. The result was immaculate.
To complete the setup, we installed a bar and decorated the walls with snooker memorabilia. Now, we have an incredible snooker room with a full-size table, heating, lighting, and—of course—a fully functional gin and wine bar with a fridge stocked for beers.
I’m even taking lessons from a retired ex-professional player who’s been very impressed with our setup. The only challenge now? Beating my wife on the green baize—turns out she’s a better player than me!
P.S. I’ll send some pictures in a separate email. I don’t have a video of the construction, but I could take one of the finished room if you’d like.”
